Meet The Artist
Audronė’s art explores the themes of braids, weaving, and knots —symbols of connection and loss. She interprets this topic by using abstract and figurative images, applying different visual art techniques and mixing them. Her creative process is spontaneous, influenced by the principles of art therapy with the focus on the creative process itself. She engages in a dialogue with her artwork, allowing subconscious themes to emerge naturally. Her work has been showcased internationally, including a solo exhibitions at the Lithuanian Embassy in Delhi in 2023, ONKAF Gallery in 2024.
A leading figure in Lithuanian art therapy, Audronė co-founded the Lithuanian Art Therapy Association in 1997 and played a key role in establishing the country’s first joint program in art therapy at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and Vilnius Academy of Arts. She is also a lecturer in the Arts Therapy master’s program at Vilnius University and directs the Public Enterprise Arts Therapy Centre.
